Thomas R. Saullo, MD
Dr. Saullo (pronounced SAWL-lo) specializes in physical Medicine and rehabilitation, helping patients decrease pain and increase function through various therapies and through nonoperative, minimally invasive procedures.
He is a graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Medicine. Dr. Saullo completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Columbia/Cornell, where he received the Peer Resident Recognition Award for Exemplary Service and Leadership. He went on to complete a fellowship in interventional spine care at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center.
Dr. Saullo joined Spine & Scoliosis Specialists in 2011. He has hands-on understanding of the important role that physical medicine can play in a patient’s recovery, having worked for eight years as a physical therapist prior to and during his time in medical school.
He has trained in numerous advanced spinal techniques, including:
